Parmigiano Reggiano – the most popular and widely known extra hard cheese of long maturity. It is made of fresh milk, where fresh morning whole milk is mixed with evening’s low fat milk. The only allowed additive is salt, which cheese absorbs during 20 days from a special solution that contains mediterranean salt.

Parmigiano Reggiano - is commonly grated over pasta dishes, stirred into soups and risottos, and eaten on its own. It is often shaved or grated over other dishes like salads.
